Our workshop was established in 1986 by the National Széchényi Library with support from the Soros Foundation, in order to rescue the book stock of church and school libraries with no financial resources or funding. We have been operating as an independent workshop since 1990. We primarily work for church and government institutions, and have restored and conserved around ten thousand artefacts including books, manuscripts, ancient documents, albums, graphic works, maps, posters, etc. We specialise in paper and book restoration and on-site book care throughout the country as well as beyond the borders. Our activity extends to all artefacts based on paper, parchment and leather as their data carrier. We always provide written and photo documentation with our work.
